Costumes For Halloween

Halloween Costumes can be fun and it is certainly a time for the whole family to enjoy. When choosing a Halloween Costume it is important to choose a costume that allows your child to see well, and one that is not too restrictive as far as walking or movement. You can have a happy halloween if you observe some of the common sense things outlined below:

  • Never allow your child to go out alone on Halloween, not even in your local neighborhood. Make sure there is an adult, preferably the Child s Mom or Dad that accompainies him or her to each stopping point.
  • Restrict your stops to a neighborhood or homes of people that you know and trust, or plan to attend a Church or School Activity that will allow a safe time and all the fun and enjoyment your child anticipates.
  • Check your Child's Candy or have it X-rayed before your child begins to eat any of it. Many hospitals will X-ray candy bags for free on Halloween night.

  • Take a few photos to preserve the memories.

  • Make something special in your kitchen just for your family. We have always made Rice-Krispie Treats for Halloween. Their easy to make and so yummy.

An innovative idea: If you think that you cannot afford a Halloween Costume for your child to wear for just one night, consider the following for a small child or toddler:

Purchase some themed pajamas and let them wear them for the first time on Halloween night, and then they can relive the memories each time they wear that pair of pajamas.
